When a background is loaded it can be used to trace in order to add text. This example section of a background contains various shapes and outlines. Both the solid shapes and the hollow shapes can be traced using slightly different options.

The image used as a background should be a PNG file.
Please avoid using JPG files because the JPG compression will cause artifacts that the trace routine does not handle properly.
This does not apply if you are just using a background file as a texture to fill the text. This is discussed more in Making a Picture out of Text |
